Cody Rhodes Just Shut Down Fans Who Want Him to Change His WWE Entrance Music Forever

Cody Rhodes has officially become the face of WWE. Since his stunning return to the company, “The American Nightmare” has delivered everything Triple H and management hoped for—and more. From unforgettable matches to carrying the brand like John Cena did in his prime, Cody is on a historic run.

But one thing isn’t changing anytime soon: his theme song.

Fresh off reclaiming the world title weeks ago—after a tough loss to Drew McIntyre in Berlin earlier this year—Rhodes is now laser-focused on a massive WrestleMania 42 showdown in Las Vegas against veteran Randy Orton. Insiders say Cody enters as the favorite, but Orton, desperate for his 15th world title before retirement, isn’t backing down.

Amid all the title talk, Cody sat down with Matt and Shane on the latest “Secret Podcast” and addressed a topic fans love to debate: his entrance music, “Kingdom” by Downstait.

Here’s the part that surprised everyone.

Unlike almost every other WWE superstar, Cody revealed that WWE doesn’t actually own his song. He took it with him during his independent wrestling days and through his run in AEW, eventually bringing it back to WWE when he returned.

“The trick with a wrestling song… it doesn’t need to be a good song. It needs to be a catchy song,” Cody explained. “I like ‘Kingdom’… It’s the only walkout song I think WWE has that WWE doesn’t own.”

So will he ever change it? According to Rhodes, only one thing would make that happen.

“It can never change unless I was to go… bad guy. Then that song is out, I suppose.”

That means as long as Cody Rhodes remains a fan-favorite hero, “Kingdom” is here to stay. Love it or hate it, his entrance music is locked in—unless the biggest heel turn of his career is somewhere on the horizon.
