She Missed Her Hometown Show and Now Liv Morgan Is Warning the Entire WWE Roster

Liv Morgan is carrying a chip on her shoulder the size of Minneapolis, and she wants everyone to know it.

The current WWE Women’s World Champion sat down with Fox News Digital and got brutally honest about the one night that still stings: missing SummerSlam last year in her own backyard. She was sidelined due to injury, and watching from home instead of walking out in front of her people was a gut punch she has not forgotten.

“Honestly, I cannot even express to you how upset and disappointing it was,” Morgan admitted. “I was very excited to show up at SummerSlam in pretty much my hometown. Unfortunately, I missed out. So this year, I’m going to more than make up for it.”

That sounds like a warning shot to the rest of the locker room.

Here is the thing about Liv at SummerSlam. She has never lost there. When the interviewer pointed out her undefeated streak at the event, even Morgan seemed surprised.

“I didn’t even realize that, so thank you for that fun fact,” she said with a smile. “I guess I’m super confident going into SummerSlam. I don’t know what this year has in store for me. But I’m hopeful to be able to defend my Women’s World Championship.”

For Morgan, SummerSlam is not just another stop on the calendar. It is the biggest party of the summer, and she plans to be the center of it.

“SummerSlam is WWE’s second-biggest event of the year,” she explained. “It is the biggest party of the summer. So, you can expect a lot of fun. A lot of chaos. You can expect me, which is probably the best part.”

Liv has been on a roll since WrestleMania 42, where she beat Stephanie Vaquer to capture the gold. She followed that up by taking down Sol Ruca on the post-Mania edition of Raw.

Now, with SummerSlam set for August 1-2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the champion has a score to settle with the event that broke her heart last year. You can catch all the action live on the ESPN App in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally. Do not miss it.
