Veteran Insider Exposes the Real Reason The Wyatt Sicks Failed So Badly in WWE
The wrestling world is still shaking from the news that The Wyatt Sicks have been released from WWE. And while rumors are flying that someone high up at TKO simply hates spooky characters, one legendary voice in the business says the problem was much deeper than that.
Speaking on his “83 Weeks” podcast, Eric Bischoff didn’t hold back. The former WWE RAW General Manager explained that the Uncle Howdy-led group failed for one clear reason: it felt like a copy of a copy.

According to Bischoff, the entire presentation was not a cool, fresh idea. He said it wasn’t just something we have seen before—it was actually less than what came before it. And that is the dangerous gamble you take when you try to recreate past magic. It almost never works as well as the original.
Bischoff was careful to point out that this had nothing to do with the talent in the ring. The problem wasn’t the performers. It was purely the way the group was packaged and presented to the audience.
So while some reports suggest that a TKO executive simply dislikes dark, gimmicky characters (which may have also cost Aleister Black and Zelina Vega their jobs), Bischoff believes the real issue is that The Wyatt Sicks never escaped the long shadow of the original Wyatt Family. In his view, fans have been there before, and this version simply did not measure up.
